Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Selaiyur

Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Selaiyur which was first established in the year 1986 is the maiden school provides a joyful, enriching and vibrant learning environment to enable students to be globally competent and flourish as outstanding individuals fulfilling the Founder’s dreams.

The school follows the curriculum and the syllabus prescribed by the Matriculation Board of Tamilnadu Government and prepares the pupils for the Matriculation Board Examinations at Standards 10 and 12. Offers activity based learning along with honing the skills of the students in various areas including Sports, Art, Literature and Culture which moulds the students into responsible citizens of the future

Origin

There are five offshoots of Zion School offering classes from LKG to Std. XII. The first established was the school at Madambakkam in the year 1999 with the same name.

The next one was established at Hasthinapuram, Sembakkam in the year 2007, a long-awaited necessity for the people around this area at that time.

The third was Alwin Memorial Public School at Selaiyur, a CBSE school started in the year 2010 in memory of Alwin, the younger son of our Chairman. The School at Selaiyur fulfils the long felt need of the students whose native language is not Tamil.

The fourth was Alwin International Public School (CBSE Syllabus) at Padappai, West of Tambaram which became functional from June 2015.

The fifth and the recent addition was Zion International Public School (CBSE Syllabus) at Mappedu, East Tambaram. The school with magnificent infrastructural facilities started functioning from June 2018. It has classes from LKG to Std. X (in 2021-22).
